Who will carve my portrait in wood?    

Your carved portrait will be hand carved by one artist from start to finish.  

What size photograph(s) must I send ?   

The size is not important. Send photographs in color - or color transparency slides - or black and white photographs - or even negatives. If you have any doubt, send us what you have in mind. We will review it and send you our opinion by email or regular mail as to whether the photo is suitable. For black and white photograph please state the color of the subject(s)'s eyes, hair, complexion, clothing, etc. (Remember you can send these as a attachment to a email).   

May two or more subjects from separate photographs be painted on one single painting ?  

Yes, just state your conditions on the order form. 

May the style or color of a subject's clothes or other details be changed to something more desirable for an oil carved portrait or painting?   

Yes, we can make any changes you wish.   

Will the photographs be returned to me unharmed ?

Yes, all photographs will be returned to you unharmed with the completed carved portrait or painting.  

Please do not send valuable photograph(s) for we cannot be held responsible for accidental loss or damage, although special care will be given original photograph(s) submitted.

How long does it take to process my order?  

Carved portraits and/or paintings will be shipped in 4 - 8 weeks after receipt of your order. Please allow 10 days for your order to reach us. We will inform you by Email when your oil portrait painting was shipped.   

Is the oil portrait painted by a computer or computer process?  

No. Although a computer is used for editing your photo (i.e. to combine two subjects from two different photos or to enlarge a photo to expose more detail for the artists reference, and for generating a layout template), all paintings are hand-painted from start to finish by one artist. All carvings are entirely hand carved by one artist.
