Placement of the required patches and common awards are found in the books of each level.

Placement of other items and most common mistakes:

Year and Attendance pins, religious knots are above Left pocket.

National Summertime Award pin is centered on Right pocket flap.

Sports and Academics and all other pins are to go on hat only.

Belt loops are to go on blue scout belt only.

Fundraiser, Camping, Conservation and other scouting activity patches are “temporary patches” and can be worn only one at a time and for only within 6 months o f the activity on the center of right pocket, hanging from button on loop provided on patch or in a see-through patch protector hanging from button. They go underneath or over the Progress Toward Ranks totem and beads.

Progress Towards Ranks badge is placed on button under flap then flap is buttoned over top.

Gold Arrow Point is centered under badge earned and Silver arrow points go down in two rows. Not in a pyramid.

Work on getting those neckerchiefs wound up and shirts tucked in. Did you know that blue jeans are part of the scout uniform if you do not have scout slacks or shorts?
